Having been born an Army brat, I lived in Germany for quite a few
years. My dad married a German, and hence that was my first language. We did
not have a car, therefore we used public transportation to go everywhere. We
were always hopping on a train or bus and running to catch the next. There was
a very big mix of people amongst us as it seemed that the majority of the
population used public transportation.
When my father passed away, my mother was left in Missouri in the middle of nowhere and she was never able to drive. Therefore, we told her to come to Florida with us so she could at least be able to hop on a bus and spend the day at the mall, and not have to bother any neighbors to take her anywhere. Well, in Florida the majority of the population drives, therefore you do not always have the best of passengers around you.
You bet, she's armed with a pepper spray ring that packs a powerful punch! (there's no permanent damage).
One of these would have saved the day for another woman in Florida when a man tried to steal her purse.
