The Curly-Hair Trick You Cant Live Without

Curly hair is a blessing and a curse. When it’s good, it’s really good, but after just one night of sleep, a fierce mane can go flat or (worse) turn into a frizzy mess.
Enter pineappling. Not only does it have a name that’s very fun to say; it’s also the best way to preserve curls for days on end without having to wash and re-wash your strands. Here’s the deal.
What you need: A hair tie and a silk or satin scarf (or a silk or satin pillowcase)
What you do: Before going to bed, tie your dry hair up in a high, loose ponytail right on top of your head. It should look like a pineapple, hence the name. By getting your hair out from underneath your head, you won’t be sleeping on (and squishing) your curls all night long.
What you can also do: To keep curls extra smooth, wrap a silk or satin scarf around the top of the pineapple (or sleep on a satin or silk pillow). Cotton pillowcases tend to soak up moisture and dry out curls (leading to frizz).
And? That’s it. When you wake up, just take out the ponytail, shake out your hair and marvel at how insanely easy that was--and how insanely smooth your tresses are.
