MAKEUP TIPS YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Mastering your makeup routine is not easy! It can take weeks, months, even years to perfect what works with your face shape, skin tone and skin type. So I’d thought I’d share some makeup tips I’ve learned along the way that I wish I knew when I was younger!!! Here are some of my favorite  insider tips that I use not only on myself, but on all my celebrity clients and friends as well!
Try them out and let me know what you think!
Face:

  1. Never skip out on moisturizing your face! This means before you begin applying your makeup AND after you wash your face at night! Regardless of your skin type, moisturizing your face helps to make skin look, feel and STAY super hydrated. No matter what month of the year!! Read more about how to keep your face hydrated during those rough dry months, here and here.
  1. Taming your brows are essential for framing you face. Get them waxed, get them threaded, and lightly pluck them in between sessions! Remember don’t go overboard! As tempting as it may be, neveroverpluck your eyebrows! You’ll thank me later LOL. Check out some of my absolutely favorite and foolproof eyebrow applicators to help keep your brow game strong!
  1. ALWAYS apply a highlighter on your face. It really helps to brighten up your skin and help you appear more awake than you actually are! If you’re ever in a rush and only have a few minutes to get ready before you head out the door, make sure applying a highlighter is on your list! It adds sparkle, sheen and makes you look put together! Even if your day is in shambles!
Eyes:

  1. White eyeliner. BUY IT! You may be wondering why you need it but it’s awesome for so many uses! Use it for your lower eyelash line to make your eyes appear wider AND use it as a base for your eyeshadow! This make your eyeshadow color more vibrant and pop! If white eyeliner is too intense for you, try a nude eyeliner for a more subtle look that’ll still do the trick!
  1. Tightlining is a thing, and if you’re not already doing it, you should start! Apply eyeliner on your upper water line in-between your lashes. This helps to get rid of any unwanted spacing and adds definition to your eyes, making them pop giving off a more fuller, yet natural look.
Lips:

  1. Exfoliate your lips at least once or twice a week using a lip scrub! You can create your own (kitchen skincare) or check out one of my favorites: Lush Lip Scrub!
  1. If you don’t know what lipstick and blush combination you should aim for, try a monochromaticlook. I love when lips and cheeks match. It gives an automatic chic look, without having to worry about looking like a clown!
