It’s Easier than It Looks
Applying makeup is not as hard as you may think it is as long as you have some makeup advice to follow.
There are many different forms of makeup to apply to your face, and each kind has a unique application technique to look into.
If you want an overview of how to apply makeup though, consider the information below.
Applying Foundation
Your foundation is just what it sounds like.
It is the foundation that all of your other makeup will build from.
- If you are using mineral foundation, all you need to do is brush it lightly on your face for all over coverage.
- If you are using a liquid foundation, use a sponge applicator or a foundation brush to put it on your face. Then put on a powder foundation over that to seal it in place.
- You could alternatively look at some airbrush foundation as well, but you may need some assistance to apply that
Applying Blush
Many women do not use blush because they do not see the need to. Nevertheless, blush can be an important component of a lot of makeup looks, so you might want to learn how to put it on.
If you are using a powder blush, get a large brush to apply it with and lightly sweep it from the outside of your cheekbone to the inside.
If you cannot find your cheekbones, suck in your lips like a fish and you will be able to see them better. For cream foundations, just be careful that you blend them well.
Applying Eye Makeup
You can get many makeup ideas just from eye makeup alone, but that makes it a bit challenging to work with.
Start by putting on eye liner, and then put a highlighting shadow under your brow line for depth.
Apply your desired shade over your eyelid, and then go one or two shades darker in the crease of the eye.
Get a small brush to wipe this all down with lightly, just so you do not get a harsh look. Finish with mascara to complete the process.
Sealing the Makeup
If you like the way your face looks, you could finish off the look by applying makeup sealing products that will keep your makeup intact as you go throughout the day.
This, in essence, is hair spray for your face, but it can be great for long jobs or events where you just do not get any time for touchups
